This project revitalizes local economies and supports reconstruction in Damascus’ countryside through manual concrete block manufacturing. This generates stable income and addresses critical shortages in construction materials. It establishes sustainable production units serving families facing difficult living conditions, displaced returnees and unemployed workers by focusing on affordable block manufacturing to reduce reliance on costly imported materials. Using simple production techniques aligned with sustainable development frameworks, the program ensures operational efficiency and rapid capital recovery within a short timeframe. The program emphasizes hands-on training in block production, quality control and basic business management to foster sustainable micro-enterprises. By combining manual methods with community-based workforce development, the project produces essential building materials while tackling unemployment in post-conflict areas. These efforts contribute to long-term economic resilience and accelerated reconstruction, aligning with Sustainable Development Goals focused on decent work, industry innovation and sustainable communities.
